Here it goes..

My rig was running good with SETI running all the time and play games fine with it too.

THEN I got a stick of Corsair XMS PC3200C2 from Googlegear, stick it in and changed my RAM settings to 7-3-3-2.5, but left the Vdimm at 2.77v. FYI it's a 1800+@189x10.5@1.85v.

I've only got time to run MemTest86 once on all tests and it ran perfectly.

However, when I load Battlefield 1942 or 3DMark2003, it just froze midway.

OK you could say that my vid card could be screw3d, but that doesn't explain it coz it was running fine with my previous set up without the extra stick?

*EDIT: dayummm...now SETI craps on me also!! Lowered FSB to 185MHz. Still running after 5 mins.

Help appreciated !

I pass of memtest doesn't cut it....Do 10pass with all test and cache turned on....no errors are exceptable...i have seen some speeds like 454mhz ddr on mine go through first pass fine then get 4-6 errors next pass and then up to 10-12 passes by then 10th pass...1 pass doesn't mean much as the meory really isn't being stressed and heat build up is likely minimal....Like running prime95 for 30test and stopping...

Yeah I know I should really run much more than just 1 pass but as I said, I didn't have the time cos I need to use the PC. It does seem to run kinda fine now but I'll stress test it later

thanks
