Is my new computer borked?

First off I will state that I am a total noob. This was my first build and things went great for the first month or so. Then, all the sudden, I when I turnded it off it would take a few tries to get it back on. I read up on it and uploaded the newest bios. Restarted it just fine. Then turned it off and now....nothing. Hit the little power button and the fans spin like crazy but nothing past that, no beeps, no video, no shut down. just spinning fans. Any ideas what I should do here?

Bits:
Opty 165 cooled by a ninja,
ASUS A8R32-MVP Deluxe Motherboard
Raptor 74GB X2 (not raided)
Corsair XMS 2GB (2 x 1GB) Twinx2048-3200c2pt
Powercolor 1900XT512MB
Enermax Liberty ELT500AWT ATX12V 500W Power Supply
Lian Li PC-65 Silver Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Audigy 2zs platinum soundcard
hp light scribe dvd
XP Pro sp2

I think that is about everything I have hooked up to it.

If I have missed anything important let me know, but I really have no idea what my next step should be. I have never tried overclocking it. I have tried booting up with the asus boot cd, and clearing the cmos I think, other than that I have no idea. HELP!

do the barebones run. Just 1 stick of memory...CPU...vid card...mobo(obviously)...and a hard drive

It could. However, I am fearing this is most likely your CPU. That's just a educated guess. My next would be the power supple, although I have a hard time blaming an Enermax.

Since its cheaper first thing I would try is the power supply though.

How would I test that? I have an older enermax whisper but it doesn't have all the extra cable bit for the newer mobos, would that work, otherwise all the other comp bits I have or around five years old and most aren't compatible....that's what I get for waiting so long to upgrade.

You could take it to a local computer shop and normally they can test it.

The heatsink still gets warm when I turn it on? Wouldn't there be beeps or something? Maybe building my own wasn't the best idea...err.

They can still get warm even if the CPU is busted. The only reason I suspect CPU is I had the same thing happen to me and it was that.

I was hoping there was more I could do to try an narrow the problem down. What kinda shop should I take it to since I built it myself? I don't really want to go to compusa or anything.
