Here is the story.

2 weeks ago i bought 19 inch LG LCD with 2ms responce time.
the native resolution was 1280x1024.

i played World of Warcraft with it, but wanted to get widescreen instead.

so i went back to the store, added $20, and got 20.1 inch Widescreen LG LCD monitor it has 5 ms response time instead of 2.

everything looks normal,
but when i went to http://www.gdargaud.net/Hack/DeadPixels.html to test Dead Pixels, my screen is strange.

First of all, that link above, has many many many lines. Without moving the window with many many lines, my screen flickers. Also, when I try to drag the window from left to right or up to down,or any other way, i get really ugly looking traces that pixels dont refresh themsleves fast enough. Can this be because my first monitor was 2ms and this one is 8ms?
If any of you could go to that website, and see if your monitor does the same.

***NOTE: You have to have the option "Show Window contents while dragging" enabled, otherwise you will not be able to properly see the problem.

If you guys still dont understand what i am saying, just say so.

No, I do not believe what you are seeing is the result of that response time, even if you double it (as I automatically do when I see them advertise such speeds - read some anandtech LCD reviews, they explain why you should be skeptical about advertised repsonse times)...

I also get the same flickering etc when I move the page around, that is normal for the LCD - I assume because a display of pixels in such a manner makes puts a lot of stress on the monitor trying to keep up with the movement.

I would most def. not be concerned with what you are seeing on that web page.

yes but i am not talking about when moving the window from side to side fast,

i am talking when you click on one of those DeadPixel test screens and the pop up window appears, i see flickers EVEN when window is not moving. Like horizontal lines are visible. Let me take a picture maybe it will help.
Gonna post in a while

Return the LCD... Man all of these issues with LCDs have started to crop up only after they began to appeal to the consumer market.. This was never an issue with the older LCDs of 1999 or '02..
