Is My Name That Hard To Spell?

My name is Benjamin and it seems like many people do not know how to spell it. Even some of my close friends don't know how to spell my full name since I usually go by Ben. Is my name that difficult to spell? Or are we Canadians that dumb? 😕
 
My name is Joe and I've had people at work mispell it.

I've been called Joel, Jo, Jozeph. So stop complaining 🙂
 
Every once in a while - usually at one of those restaurants that asks your name to put on the ticket - I'll get someone that spells my name "Dug". Scary.

Oh, yeah, I had it spelled Joeseph. People think just because the short form is Joe, the long form has to start with it.

Lots of people do mispronouce my name and say Ben"jer"min and I guess spell it like that.

Some do spell it with the "man" instead of "min". I've seen Benjiman before... I'm not a superhero so don't put "man" at the end my name. 😛

:| The thing I really hate is when people misspell my last name. I mean sure it is kinda weird but it's a palindrome, you get the first 3 letters you're set.
 
i leave messages for people all the time and they go "hi can i speak to denise?"

"actually you've reached cindy"

"oh yeah i meant cindy"

Benny is for kids and comedians. They usually add boy to the name and call me Benny Boy.

Benji is for dogs. I hate it when people call me Benji... 😛
