Greetings all, hopefully someone can help me out here. Put this system together over the past week and have been getting some very sub par 3dmark scores (given my hardware setup) of under 10,000. Specifically, 9624 3dmarks. Using the ORB at madonion I've seen scores well over 13K. Now admitidly these are probably heavily OC'd systems, but still...
Here's the specs:
P4 - 2.53G
GA-8IEXP w/ bios "f8" dated 9/11/2002
512 MB Corsair XMS3200cas2 DDR
WD 80 GB SE
MSI GF4 4400 w/ latest beta drivers (40.72)
Windows XP Professional w/sp1
All the latest Intel chipset drivers
--> nothing is overclocked for now
Now, I'm also having some MB issues as can be seen in THIS thread over in the Motherboards forum. Given that, I seem to be having some video card problems independent of the MB issue. Using the 40.71 or .72 drivers, right-clicking on the desktop and choosing properties and then going to the Nvidia tab shows my card as having only 32 MB of video ram. Not to be impolite, but wtf?? This is a 128 MB GF4 4400, as there are no 32 mb versions of this card ( that I know of anyways). Is this a bug in the beta drivers? I can't tell if this is a beta only problem as the official 30.* version drivers refuse to load the Nvidia display panel on my system. If the system is only recognizing 32 MB of memory, would that cause the 3dmark scores to turn up as they are?
Any thoughts?
