Hello!
So about 7 months ago I built my very first build. Here are the specs I used:
MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 -(Board)
Corsair CX430 (PS)
Western Digital Blue Cav 500GB
AMD A10-5800K APU 3.8Ghz Processor
NZXT Technologies Source 210 Computer Case
Corsair Vengeance 4GB
Until 2 weeks ago the build was running nice and smoothly for a low budget build. Not the BEST but it provided everything I needed for minimal gaming. Recently as I was gaming the screen of my motherboard went white and froze. I resolved this issue by letting my Computer rest overnight. Two days later it happened again and nothing I tried would show display on my monitor. I tried using different monitors, checking the wires of my motherboard (making sure they were properly reconnected), using the RAM in a different slot, resetting my Tower but nothing worked. After 3-4 attempts I heard 3 consecutive beeping noises coming from the tower. The tower STILL turns on though. The fans are running, the power supply is obviously on, but NO display. I'm convinced that either my motherboard or my APU may be fried or blown something and here's why I think that:
Before I got the NZXT casing I used an old dell casing which had metal inside so I rested my motherboard in it WITHOUT the knowledge of knowing that it damages the board. HOWEVER, when I tried turning the PC on it would shut down right afterwards so I couldn't play games on my PC while it was in this state but I still tried turning it on. Bad idea I know, but later on (1 week later) when I got a better casing and standoffs for the motherboard it still worked great for those 7 months.
Now then, here are the main questions I'd like to have answered if you don't mind.
1) Why did my monitor white out and stopped turning on?
2) Why doesn't my PC display with other monitors?
3) Is my motherboard fried due to my mistakes in the past catching up to me?
4) Is the APU the cause of the problem since the graphics cards is integrated within it?
5) How can I resolve this issue?
Sorry for the long complaint! Thanks for taking your time to help out!
