Is my motherboard on the way out?

I installed ram in my last memory slot and when I rebooted my keyboard wouldn't work. The lights flash for a second in the bios boot but that's it. I tried a new keyboard and same thing. I removed the ram but the keyboard still doesn't work. It's an AOpen AX6BC or something like that. I'm using a USB keyboard now but it still has a serial plug to use advanced internet features.

i dunno.. it got a giggle outta me...

first what kind of keyboard do you have? and does it have the option to use PS2+ serial vs USB+serial?

also did you buck with the bios at all? if so you might have disabled IRQ to USB or disabled the USB ports all together?

mod if my little joke is to much just delete that word please:)

I agree, there's nothing wrong with that chump's name. You people need to lighten up. As for the KB, I got no clue. You are rebooting with the new RAM out of the comp, and the old keyboard connected. Right?
