Is my motherboard going out?

I have an Abit BE6 with a Pentium III 500 and a Geforce2 Ultra. Most times when I boot up, I get no video whatsoever. This problem is only remedied by playing around with all the power connections, unplugging the video card, and a few other things. I haven't yet isolated one method to fix the problem. It seems that something different fixes it every time. It reoccurs every time I cold reboot after I fix it. All my connections are tight, I've triple checked them. I have tried other monitors, other video cards. No luck. I've even tried a new power supply. No luck. This is pretty aggravating... can anybody suggest some solutions? I suspect the motherboard has bit the dust. Opinions?

i don't think this is a sign of a motherboard going bad. more likely there is a problem with the connections coming loose, or maybe even drawing too much power. try seeing if there is one power cable that makes the computer boot if you mess with it.

Tried it already. No luck. Even tried a separate power supply. Went as far as unplugging every device except the motherboard. No luck.
