I have recently bought a new case for my computer and am in the process of swithing out the componments and i am getting a really weird problem.

When i turn on the power supply switch in the back of the computer all my fans turn on and the led's on the mobo turn on as well. However nothing boots up. When i try to turn the computer on using the power switch on the case nothing happens. I have double and triple checked the switches and i dont believe that is the problem.

So i am left wondering if my mobo is fried even though i am getting power to my cpu fan, videa card fan and the led's on my mobo are turning on.

Please someone help!

Thanks

Try resetting CCMOS if you haven't already. Also, try unplugging PSU from the wall for about 15 seconds and then replugging it in.

You are getting no beeps at all? Video card aux connector is hookedup I assume? Try removing all components (including the mobo) and rebuilding with only the video card and cdrom and keyboard hooked up. If it still does not boot in this state, then you likely have a bad mobo. Oh, after you have the mobo removed, clear CMOS using the clear CMOS jumper per the board instructions before the rebuild.

Some specs would help.

Check your case. Clean it on the inside and check that the mounting holes are clean and correctly placed; It sounds to my like a short cut. Try booting OUT of the case, if possible. Check your powersupply, too.

What brand is your motherboard?
