Is my monitor messed up?

My monitor is a Samsung SyncMaster 755DF 17" flat screen. There's a TV close by, and whenever I turn the TV on, the monitor image "vibrates" a bit. There's also a TV on the other side of the wall of the monitor. The same thing happens. Is this normal?

I'll probably be calling Samsung about this one. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

It may very well be the power consumption doing this because when I'm in a computer lab at school and someone sits across or next to me and they turn on their monitor, mine significantly flickers. Also, is there is magnetic pull from a tv? I don't think so but you never know.

The same thing happens to me when I turn on the fan in my bathroom. It probably has something to do with the wiring in your house or the power comsumption like amdskip said.

It is due to electromagnetic interference, and it does damage your monitor. Either keep the TVs off or move your monitor

That sounds as if the TV degausses itself when you turn it on. If a CRT is degaussed, it affects other nearby CRTs. If you degaussed your monitor while the TV was on, the TV would probably be affected.
