Is my monitor bad?

I recently got a Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 2070SB on this past holiday weekend. Beautiful colors, size, etc. However, last night I noticed these vertical lines near the center of the monitor. They look like the horizontal lines that go across the monitor that can be seen on a white background. Is this a normal thing? Any other 2070 users out there?

It's a normal thing for any aperture grill CRT to have thin lines that go across the screen. There's nothing wrong with the monitor.

Vertical lines is what I see in addition to the 2 horizontal lines that are in every apeture grill monitor. My question still stands, is this normal? Or do I have a defective unit?

The hair-thin vertical lines are also a product of the aperture grill. It's normal.

Really? I never saw them in my last aperture grill monitor. But if it's normal, cool!. Thanks for the info, hjo3.

NP. I've only ever seen the vertical lines on NEC/Mitsubishi monitors and some old IBMs. My 22" Samsung only has the standard 2 horizontals, fortunately. :D

Vertical lines is what he said he was seeing on his monitor... hmm that is strange, you could bring it back and exchange it for another one... check neoseeker.com for reviews of the monitor, maybe the mention something about the vertical lines, and it does have the horizontal lines as well correct?

I talked to NEC/Mitsubishi's tech support and they guaranteed me that thin vertical lines are normal for that model and are a product of the aperture grill. Understand? Aperture grills can produce both vertical AND horizontal hairline lines. Sheesh.
