is my Modem Full Duplex?

how do I find out? I'm wondering, becuase when I download and upload at the same time, it appears that one or the other slows down somewhat. it was listed as full duplex at the place I bought it..

My modem is a 3com 2976 PCI hardware modem.

I used to have a Diamond Supra Express 33.6 Internal modem (it was ISA). it only connected at 28800bps becuase I never flashed it so it would run at 33.6 (the 33.6 drivers worked with it though).

anyway, it died at the beginning of this year, which is why I have this 3com (which I don't like as much as my Diamond Supra Express) modem, which dials up somewhat faster, however when uploading AND downloading at the same time, the Diamond could go both at 2.8 KB/second. 2.8 was it's typical top speed even when just downloading..

heh. theoretically it's possible, you just have to subtract your outgoing signal from what is on the line to see if there's an incoming signal (at least, that's how I would do it 🙂

I think that it you who was saying that it happened in Napster a while back, well, anyway, it happens with me as well, I have the Diamond Supra Express 56i Pro
