Is my mobo dying?

My HTT tends to go up and down a lot at random. I currently have my opty OC'd to 250x10, but it'll go from anywhere between 240x10 to 300x10. Most of the time it is at 250x10. Today, when I was exiting battlefield, I caught it at 300x10. Is this a mobo issue? I have the latest bios for my asus a8n-sli mobo.
