is my memory running in dual channel mode?

on my vista 32-bit, i got 4 sticks, all 1GB each for total of 4GB. i was told that because of the 3GB limitation of 32 bit OS, my memory is not in dual channel mode. is this true?

if so, i am considering downgrading to keep just 2x 1GB and adding a 2x 512mb pair to retain dual channel mode.

would i benefit from the change in setup?

oh and btw, what's an easy way to check to see if your memory is in dual channel mode?

Whoever told you that was wrong, youre still in dual channel with that configuration.
Download CPU-Z and it will tell you if youre in dual channel mode on the memory tab.
