everything was working fine until last night when the power went out... I was just about to unplug all of the connections but as soon as i started to turn off the computers the power went ou! and the linksys router resetted the red light blinked then it just died... well i got back power this morning and i cant seem to connect to the internet! but lan works i can see the other 2 computers i have hookeed up to the router.. the only problem is that the router isnt connecting to the server.... i dont know why its working locally but not connecting to the internet... anyone know? thanks!

by the way it works when i plug it from Cable box directly into my comp... im going to try my non router hub now...will see how that goes

edit: i just tried by hub and the computers can get onto the net with no problem at all.. so something is wrong with the router internet part 🙁

edit2: I plugged the Cable line from the Box into my router instead of the WAN i plugged it into the uplink and it works! but this means that it isnt no longer a router it is more of a hub... 🙁 so i dont know why it isnt working when the cat5 line is plugged into WAN? anyone know?

yep i resetted it a couple of a times... and also i just upgraded to the latest firmware and its still a no go... in the WAN slot 🙁
works fine otherwise... i really think that wan plug got fried or something is messed up with it

You probably lost the settings during the outage much like the reset does to it, so just try setting up your home network again just like you did when you bought it.

when i brought it home and did it i just plugged it in basically and it worked... well i just called linksys the customer service was very fast and good... and we went through some steps that i did by myself alrdy and he decided the port got bad... so he gave me an rma # and he said i will get an e-mail from the rma department soon and i will get a new router...dont know if i need to send in my old one or not

Yes, you will need to return the router because they test, if possible refurbish it, and put it back in the channel
