Hey guys, I somehow managed to get a virus last night that neither Norton nore AVG free edition could get rid of. I worke don it for several hours, finally did a complete reinstall of Windows. I backed up everything i thought I needed to. But forgot about my Itunes collection of songs.

So am I SOL or can I get them back somehow, does apple like have a list of the songs I had, so I can get them back somehow?

That blows, not a total loss really, since all the songs where free from Pepsi, but it still sucks. Can't believe I forgot about them.

If they were all store-bought you may be in luck. I thought you meant just songs you had on your hard drive and played in iTunes. I'm sure they have record of what songs you bought and you can probably get them again.

Oh yeah, there was only about 30 or so, all where gotten with either the free ones using the pepsi codes, and a couple of them where free ones apple offered up. I am trying to see if there is a way to get them back, but I can't find anythign yet.

I did remember to back up all my non Ituned music, not sure why i forgot abotu itunes though.

Sweet I emailed Itunes and told them my problem, and they are allowing me this one time to redownload all the songs I have listed in the my purchased music list. Will definately have to remember to back them up this time.

You could also get Getdataback from runtime software. I ended up buying it because i loved it so much

another vote for runtime's getdataback program. that thing saved 80gb of my data. 🙂

this is why you should always keep the os partition separate from media and other things. keep a 10gb o/s partition that you can easily format...ghost image or what not.

Exactly what I do. I just map My Documents to a folder on the second partition. (or you could just not use it)
