Hi there, I bought my E6750 processor about a month ago and I noticed I couldnt change my multiplier pass x8. I was reading on the forum and people were talking about their multiplier being all the way to x10. Wow... thats cool :) But obviously they had a different processor. I understand that. My question is, is my E6750 locked at x8 highest? Or do I have to register my key(cpu box) at the Intel website to get this feature? Just a random question... sorry If that was a noobie question lol. Im still new to this whole Intel set up. if it helps, Im running it with the Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Yes, the E6750 is locked at the 8x or lower multiplier. Only the Extreme Edition Intel Processors feature unlocked multipliers which can be adjusted upwards and downwards.

Non-Extreme processors should be able to adjust downwards, just not upwards.
