Is my HP 930C printer broken, or just the cartridge needs replacing?

When i print, there are lines through the text. I went through the clean cycles (normal, intermiate, and prime). Same thing 🙁

I put in another cartridge, and it got worst 🙁

The new cartridge has been sitting around for 3 months. Does that matter?

is it the cartridge or are the print heads on the printer clogged? If it is clogged, how do i clean it?

i did rtfm. no help 🙁

the manual just tells me to run the cleaning cycles. I've done that and no help 🙁

My hp870 has started doing the same thing. I just got a new cartridge yesterday, and now I'm pissed.:disgust:

Latest Software is here

(but what you are seeing doesn't really sound like a software issue)

Try the calibrate thingy
Try different paper
some cheaper papers "swell" with ink application
also try a high quality print
(ie: do a photo paper print and see if it happens there too)

If it happens on all papers and all quality settings, with latest software, after repeated cleaning and calibration, it is time for RMA

Benn there, done that Insidious, but thanks anyway.😉 I don't think it's worth fixing, because it's over 3 years old.
