Is My Hard Drive Corrupted?

Recently, my hard drive (or so I think?) has been giving me some problems.
When I shut off my computer and turn it back on, it will only boot to windows about 10% of the time.

Usually, it gives me this blue screen ( (it disappears very quickly so I have no idea what it says) right before the Welcome screen in XP.
I've tried to run scandisk upon reboot but I get the same blue screen before the scan even starts.

Is it possible that my hard drive has been corrupted?

Yes. Time to backup and run the drive diagnostic utility from your HD manufacturer.

BTW, you can stop WinXP from automatically rebooting after a blue screen by going to Control Panel->System->Advanced->Startup and Recovery->System Failure.
