Is my hard disk bad?

So if i stop chkdsk during test by pressing power button can i damage hdd or ram or nothing? I mean bad sectors will appear when i press power button?

The results are posted in the event viewer, under 'Windows logs' and 'Application', in an entry with the 'source' as 'wininit'.

With as cheap as new hd's are these days there really isn't an excuse to not replace a questionable drive, especially if you treasure the information contained on it.
