Is my graphics card dying?

Recently over the past few days I've noticed that I'll have a black screen when I power on my notebook laptop. Sometimes it will just stay that way for a while and nothing will happen, other times it takes about a minute just for it to even show the logo of the manufacturer.

If I even touch or move the laptop slightly, the screen will go fuzzy or the laptop will shutdown without no warning or prompt at all notifying me of shutting down.

Here are the specs of my Compaq Presario CQ60 notebook laptop.

What exactly do you mean by touch? I sounds like more than just a video card problem you are having.

If I even attempt to pick up or move the laptop elsewhere, that kind of touch.
In that case, it is likely that some wiring/soldiering is loose. Try to take out the battery and put it back. Sometimes it is as simple as that.

Of course, most of the time it isn't, but it is worst a try.
