Uh oh.. I think I'm in trouble. I had my Gainward GF3 Ti200 clocked at 220/500 earlier when I tried to fire up Half Life... when I went to custom game and tried to activate Counter Strike, the monitor flashed and went blank.. with the Green LED turning to Red..
So I thought the monitor must have finally crapped out cuz it's a very old "Techmedia" brand monitor... but when I switched my Gainward to a Voodoo3 2000 PCI... the monitor worked.
I switched the card back to the Gainward later and again.. nothing would come up on the monitor.. and the status light on the monitor would be green at first but then turn red eventually..
My system is on Win98se and I was using the 22.80 detonator drivers. I don't understand how the card could screw up. I never had any artifacts or any trouble with the card while overclocking.. all of a sudden after running half life, something craps out..
I had AGP 4x on and a 128mb Aperture if that helps.. and the only modifications I've made to the card itself was adding ASII to the core
I have now tried it on another system with the same result.. looks like its dead..
any ideas?
