My pioneer dvr-105 ive had for almost 2 years is starting to give me trouble. ive burned lots and lots of movies. When i try to use nero to burn g04 at 4x it starts to spin up and around 30 second mark bam! it gets all loud with a whilrling sound like its spinning really fast and comp freezes and i cant close nero. and sometimes it burns all the way to 93% and then freezes and need to hold power button down to turn off. Is it dying? im thinking it is

Yeah I'd say it is probably on its way out. DVD burners are cheap now anyway compared to when you bought your Pioneer. LG has their Dual Layer DVDR out for quite cheap too as I'm sure Lite On does too.

I would just like to add that the correct spelling is "Kaput". I don't think I wanna know what a ka-poot is : )
