Is my DVD Burner failing?

Ok I have a BenQ DW-1655 DVD Burner (I think thats the name). And I have had it since July and havent had any problems until recently and now I can't burn any CDs or DVDs with any programs but it can still read them. Is it failing? I bought it from Newegg can I send it in and get a new one? Or is there a software fix.
 
You need to be a little more descriptive: What do you mean by 'can't burn any CDs or DVDs' ?

Does it just burn coasters?
Does it not show up as a DVD burner?
Does some error message show up when attempting to burn things?

At any rate, try putting it in another computer and trying to burn with that. If it doesn't work then, I'd probably say it's a safe bet that your burner is dying, so you'd be able to send it back depending on the warranty that Newegg + BenQ provide(and how long you've had it).

If the warranty is expired, you're SOL, be ready to cough up another $45 or so for a replacement.
