Well i decided to reformat my computer and set a partition to 32kb stripe for my os and 128kb for my games, anyway I decided to check my drives. So i deleted the raid array on my seagate drives.
The short test passed on both drives in seatools in dos
Then i decided to do the long test on both drive which both passed
Then I did a time erase of 10 seconds on each drive, then i decided to do the full erase on the drives.
The first drive started to erase and about 10-15 minutes later failed the full erase.
Currently as I type this, my second drive is doing the full erase and has been for about 30 or a little more minutes. So its not done yet, its currently at 34%.
When this drive is done I was going to try the full erase again on the first drive, but if it fails the erase, does that mean its a faulty drive, even though it past the short test and long test? I know many drives that are failing usually can still sometimes pass the short test but not the long test. But my drive passed both
