Is my CPU running too hot?

I just built my first system yesterday
AMD Sempron 2600+ with AMD approved heatsink + fan
MS-7021 motherboard
512 megs of ram
and an old geforce3 from a friend where I put it together

We had to reuse an old case, it has one fan in the back and nothing else.

The system averages about 47 C, and it has hit 51 C when being stressed.
This seems too high to me, is it? And if it is what are the proper steps to correct it? Right now I have the case pooped open with a fan on the side that is keeping the system at 42 C, this is a temporary solution untill I find a better one.

it is not overly hot, but is about on the boundary of comfortable limit. I personally would not worry about it really.
