hello,

i'm using a
Thermalright SI-97A heatsink
Panaflo 92x25mm Medium Speed 1 8.45 8.45T fan
Arctic Silver 5 paste

on a athlon XP 3200+ socket A
with a
ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe mobo

i'm getting a reading of 40C in the bios for the CPU temperature with Q fan control on full speed and the case is open at the moment. Should the temp be less or is this normal. i just got them it the first time i've used anything besides a stock fan/headsink, so i'm not sure. what is a safe temperature.

would i be able to think about overclocking. or should i make some changes to make it cooler

thanks for reading this

40 degrees is fine. See how far you can overclock before trying to lower the temps.
