is my cpu runing hot?

have a P4 2.4 cpu in a sony viao comp. it idles at 49-53 degree C is tht runing a little hot and should i worry about it. i won have this comp for long im getting a a8n-sli in 3 weeks

Its fine if you have no problems with stability. All temp sensors are calibrated differently, so you can never acurately compare temps.

If you really want to be sure, run prime95 overnight. If you have no errors, your temps are fine, because if the temps get too high you will start to get errors in prime.
