Is my CPU or case too hot?

I read a temp of 104 F (40 C) for my CPU. Is it too hot? The case temp is 84 F (29 C) is it good or also too hot? Thanks. I don't want the whole thing to melt down...
 
While I suppose it would depend on the type of CPU, those temperatures are really not too warm. My CPU has gotten up to almost 50C and has been fine.
 
My CPU is Athlon 850 (not overclocked) on a K7T-Pro2 and those temp were obtained via the utility shipped with the motherboard. Thanks again.
 
40C hot? I wish mine got that cool, I don't think I've seen mine (800 athlon) stay below 116F. Right now I'm at 50C (122F) and my mobo is at 37C (98F). I have a A7V mobo and using Asus probe.
