Is my Corsair HX520 enough?

For a ~3.8GHz i7 920 + Radeon 5870 setup? Or a mildly overclocked i7 860 + 5870?

I assume I would definitely need a new power supply for a 5870x2, correct?

ya, but it doesnt have any x58, p55, i7, i5, or HD 5000 series options. But I would say you should be fine with that setup, though not for the x2. I may be wrong, but I used to run an i7 920 @ around 4 GHz ( a C0), and an oced GTX 260 216 on that PSU, along with like 4 HDD's. I really don't think there is a single GPU setup that cant be run on that PSU. Mb if you OC the 5870 or a GTX 280 a bunch, but I kinda doubt it.

Yes, the HX520 is plenty. For a CF or SLI rig with high-end cards go with a 650 or higher.
