Is my Corsair H60 dying?

So recently I've been noticing that I get crazy lag spikes on very non-intensive games. Once in a while, my computer would just up and shut off with no warning. Yesterday, it did that after ~1 hour of Magic 2014 on Steam. When I tried to turn it back on, the BIOS warned me that my cpu was 90+ degrees Celsius. It then shut off again. I know the H60 fan still works and the coils do feel hot. Is it dying or do I have another problem?

Update: Right after posting this, I am now having major rendering problems. Websites are taking insanely long to load (no more where I go) and when they do load, the pieces of the page take forever to get on the screen.

Can you hear pump noise coming from the CPU block? If not then there's your problem - the pump failed.

Not sure I ever heard it in the 2 years I had it (or I didn't notice.) I just went and replaced the TIM to see if that would fix it but idling in the BIOS started CPU temp at 39C, which climbed steadily. I shut it off at 60C.

Run the unit outside of the rig(to isolate the pump from other vibrations) and place your palm on the pump + block while its powered. There should be some vibration emanating from the unit to show that the pump is actually working.

Whoops saw this too late. I went out to Best Buy and grabbed an H55. Swapped out the H60. System works fine now and temps in bios are back to 22C. I guess the H60 is definitely dead. I'll look into getting an RMA to hang on as a spare. Thanks!

Question though: Now that I have the H55 going and I do still have the fan from the H60, I was thinking about adding it for push/pull. The first fan I have with the sticker facing out of the case (away from the cpu). Which orientation would the second fan need to be to do this? Sticker facing the first sticker or sticker facing away from that sticker? Thanks!

Stickers will face same direction for push pull. Usually towards the front of case for vertical mount radiator or towards bottom for top mount.
