I went ahead and ordered an 8800GTX on launch day, which incidentally should arrive this morning
However my computer seems to have retaliated at me for attempting to upgrade it by having its power supply fail - I know this for sure because of the rather acrid smoke that came out of it.
The power supply in question was an Enermax liberty 620W supply. I'm going to give enermax a call later, however in the mean time I have slaved my old Antec Neopower in (after dropping back down to a single video card) and have got an enermax galaxy 850W supply on order.
I'll keep you informed of how my dealings with enermax go. Also I hope I made the right decision by going for the galaxy.
