Is my computer too hot?

Right now, after running my computer for a few hours, my system temperature is 31 degrees celcius, and my cpu is 48 degrees celcius. Is this too hot for comfort?

I am using the hs/fan that came with my retail 1.2ghz thunderbird processor. The case that I have now is an Enlight 7237, and it only has one fan in the front. Should I add was a quickly as possible?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

<<side note- I don't do celcius..>>

1. Case temps are lower than CPU temps, so I would leave case alone for now. I don't take issue until they get close to the same temp...

2. Retail HSF's are traditionally less than powerful, that's what I'd replace (better model, AS2 applied)

3. #2 gives you the option to begin overclocking!

48 under load doesn't seem too bad. i believe that's decent with the retail hsf. but it never hurts to add a couple more fans to your case to be safe. if the system is stable, and hasn't been crashing, i wouldn't worry about anything. some people have their temps up in the 50's.

I'm assuming you just left your computer on for a few hours while doing nothing? If that's the case...then you should get another HSF. That means you are @ 49 C idle. Which is kinda high...not cpu-life threatening...but still a lil high for an idle temp.

The temps are leaning toward the high side but they are alright and nothing really to worry about. Add more fans and make sure you have a good airflow inside your system to keep it cool.

Thanks for all of your input!
I think I will be buying an extra fan for the back of my case! I would go for another hs/fan also, but since I paid extra to get a retail processor, I think I will make the most out of what I have for a while.
