Is my computer dead?

Computer has been working fine until today. I turned it on and it got into a restarting loop and there was no signal going into monitor. I turn off power and turn it back on, the computer stays on now but there is no video signal, and no sound of HDD working to load windows, and no beeps. I thought maybe the video card went bad so I replace it with a working GTX760 along with a new PSU, same result.

Now I have no idea what is wrong since nothing is displaying to the monitor. All I got is a error code "9A" displaying on the self-diagnostic display built into the m/b. Referring to the manual I couldn't find anything about "9A" code, but there is a "A9" code that means "wait for user input at config display if needed", which I have no idea what it means.

Is my computer done? Is it time to forget about it and upgrade the m/b+CPU+ram? If so I'll need to start looking into some i5 combo deal. I think I should be able to reuse most of my components.

btw here's the spec of my computer:
TPower I45 mobo
Q9550 CPU (iirc)
4GB Kingston HyperX DDR2
HD 6870 1GB (I tested by replacing with GTX 760 2GB)
Antec Neo 500W PSU (tested by replacing with Enermax Revolution X't II 650W)
Intel 80GB SSD (320 series iirc)
WD Black 2TB HDD

considering the MB is circa-2008, I would definitely consider replacement of MB/CPU/RAM to something current/ appropriate for your needs.

Maybe an i5-6500 combo?

If you Google "TPower 9A code" it returns a lot of hits from people experiencing that same code. However, from the 10 or so threads I read through, nobody was able to get it working. So I think that is a good indication the motherboard is kaput.

Thanks. I use it as my secondary gaming rig and watch streaming on it and some occasional video encoding, and I'm still using an old 1680x1050 IPS LCD with it so the GTX 760 should be sufficient. I think the i5-6400/6500 is good enough for me. I guess I'll also look for combo deals from my local fry's store.

But seriously, you have to do some troubleshooting. Start eliminating possible causes.
Substituting known good components would be a starting point.

Try pulling out all of the RAM, with power off and unplugged. Then, make sure a mobo speaker is connected. Plug it in and power up.

If you get beeps, then CPU / mobo may be working.

I tried pulling half the RAM out and then all the RAM out, same results.

I tried clearing the cmos, and also changed the cmos battery, still the same results.

It looks like most likely the mobo is dead. I guess it's time to upgrade. Found some i5-6600 cpu/mobo/ram combos on NewEgg for around $400 after tax, not bad. This is bad timing for me though, coz I just got caught by traffic camera on a traffic violation for turning right on a "No turn on red" intersection. I was not familiar with the area and I didn't see the sign so I made a right turn when it was safe. The bail is $490 plus traffic school. Out of nowhere I just suddenly have to spend about $1000.

If that was directed at me, look at the user name in what I quoted (and whose account was deleted after I reported it). It was not a reply to Burpo. It was a person who signed up and linked to a site that was infested with malware.
