My roommate picked up a Trojan the other day. Better disconnect NOW, was the advice ffmcobalt gave me.
Unplug your modem. Then close stuff that shouldn't be open. Then scan for trojans/viruses. And if you have wireless, turn on some 128 bit WEP encryption so drive-byers won't be able to easily use it.

Yep, you got someone telling you they are on your wireless router. I guess you should be thankful he even bothered to tell you.

The guy is outside your house, wardriving. Enable WEP on your wireless router and make sure it doesn't broadcast the key. *sigh* Wardriving is so easy these days, nobody understands how to secure their wireless connections.

my wireless only sends not even 1mb to the clients :/ its old wireless and all i do is type in a code for the networks and thats all no weap 128 thingie options but my speeds are great.
set up a local DNS server that forwards requests from your machiens to a real DNS server, and the rest to goatse.

I wardrive all the time. People actually leave their c: drives on full sharing too.
Only thing I have done is change their wallpaper and load 10 programs in win.ini
What I could do is much worse.
