Is my cigar's quality threatened?

I have it sitting in a drawer with a bunch of sh!t. It's wrapped in it's original cellophane. What's the best way to store it? Keep in mind that I am humidor-less.

It depends on how long it has been there. IIRC the humitity is supposed to be ~68% and the temperature ~72 degrees F to keep the quality stable, or even age it if your humidor is nice enough. What kind of cigar is it?

It's a Hoyo. See, I can't really buy cigars by myself, but they're wonderful things. I recieved this from someone, and even though it may suck, I'd like to keep it until I get a chance to enjoy it.

Not too much you can do, then. The longer it sits, depending on the ambient climate where you are, it will either dry out or become moldy, neither of which provide a suitable smoking experience. It will influence the the draw, the rate of burn, and the flavor. But, if you haven't smoked a whole bunch of cigars, you might not even notice so I wouldn't worry about it too much. 🙂

wrap it in a wet paper towel. you can freeze it for a while but not forever. make a humidor....air tight box with a sponge. it wont be perfect but it will last a lot longer then nothing.
