Is my cat trying to tell me something about Taco Bell "food".

My cat will eat just about anything. I've seen her eat lettuce if she likes the dressing on it.

Anyway, she usually has to come check out whatever it is I'm eating, and I'll normally give her some so she will leave me alone long enough so that I can finish eating. I was eating a taco last night from Taco Bell. I put some of the taco meat on the wraper for her. She smelled of it and then she started scratching like she was trying to cover it up. Exactly like she would do if she had just finished doing her thing in the litter box.

I've never seen her do this with any other food, but she has done it twice with Taco Bell. Is this a sign that I should never eat at taco bell again?

She will eat the sour cream and cheese, but she really doesn't like the meat.

The was probably trying to hide it. I have 3 cats, and when our smallest get's the the soft food first, she tries "covering" it up so the other cats won't eat it all . She has sucessfully covered the dish with the rugs on our kitchen floor before.

your cat is indictating that the "meat" is actually cat poop and show be covered in the litter box

he probably tried to cover it up like sh1t because that's what the meat (I use that term lightly) looks like.

Usually it means the cat thinks it smells bad. Occasionally they'll cover it to hide it from other cats, but that isn't very common unless you had severe competition for food normally.

I've seen other cats try to cover up food to "save" it for later, but this cat doesn't do it with anything else. It must be some spice taco bell uses that she doesn't like.

WOW, I thought I was the only one...

my cat loves tuna, but for majority of the cat food from the can, she would not eat it, and proceed to scratch on the side as if to cover it up with invisible litters.
