I currently have a evga GTX275 and i running into some problem running games lately. The card is not overclock atm ihn any mean but when I run Dragon Age: Origin the game would sometime freeze up on me during big fight and I need to set the fan to 100% manually with evga tools and lower the game setting for the game to work. Should I attempt to rma the card or it is still good?

I would take the heatsink off and clean it and reapply some new grease. The grease does not last forever and a good cleaning will do whonders many times.

My new 450 was not done well. After I cleaned it up its much cooler and quite now.

I through that technically we are not suppose to remove the fan if we want to keep the warranty?

I would simply call the Service Centre for this kind of info. There's a good bet they won't accept removing any of the parts and your warranty will be canceled, at least that's what they said to me here. If you are in U.S. you might have better support though.

EVGA has a modder-friendly warranty. You can remove the stock assembly/heatsink and replace with your own or reapply thermal compound and it will not void the warranty as long as you don't damage anything.

From their warranty page (http://www.evga.com/support/warranty/): "The product must be returned to EVGA in the original factory configuration and condition. All aftermarket modification must be reversed before sending in the product for replacement."
