Is my card dead????

I recently upgraded my processor and motherboard. I decided upon upgrade not to also upgrade to pci-e since I bought my new agp card not too long ago and it was pretty pricey. After I installed my new motherboard, and all of the requiered drivers I went to play a game (day of defeat source to be exact) and after the "loading" screen I got a black screen. I have since loaded every 3d game I own, and even tried to run 3d mark 03, 05, and 06 and get black screens whenever any kind of 3d processing is needed. I am hoping that somehow my card hasn't been fried because when I first fired it up from putting everything in I forgot to plug the cable from the psu into my card. When I turned my system on it started screaming at me so I turned it off before the post screen went away.

hope it's not dead, hope one of you can help

Not plugging in the power connector for you card wouldn't fry it by any means, it would just mean it wouldn't get enough power.

Also whenever there's a problem with the video card at boot up, you'll usually get a loud sustained beep . . .

Was the card in perfect working order before your motherboard upgrade? Does it have any errors in 2D?

Yeah, I was playing any game I could throw at it before the switch, the loud beep was actually coming from a little speaker from the card itself, cause my internal speaker was on my desk at that moment. There are no 2D errors, just when it tries to run anything 3d.
