Ok, 2 weeks ago the power supply started acting gimpy and the computer would randomly shut down. Long story short, I had a bad power supply, and it looks like a burnt out CPU. I bought a mobile Barton 2400 only to find it incompatible with my KT133a motherboard (damn you manual!). So, new hard drive, new chip, new motherboard, new ram, new power supply, new vid card.
I got the NF7v2 to start like a champ the first time, but it didn't recognize the mobil Barton and defaulted it to 600 mhz. When I went to change the FSB and restarted I got no video. Now, outside the case, with just the chip, 1 stick of known good ram, 1 known good power supply, when I hit power (or bridge those jumpers with a screw driver) not even the fans come on. Dead in the water nothing.
So does this mean my BIOS is dead and I should send the motherboard back? I tried resetting it, pulling the known good CMOS battery, etc. No luck. All I get is a red power light on the battery and nothing will start. ANY options I'm missing?
Thanks,
Thomas
