Is my beer math right here?

I was sick of drinking Utah beer because it's only 3.2% alcohol here. To get a higher percentage of alcohol you have to buy beer at the liquor store which costs an arm and a leg.

So I bought a 8% 40 oz beer. I was wondering how many 3.2% 12 oz beers this would equal to in alcohol?

I came up with that the 8% 40oz equals 8.3333 3.2% 12 oz beers.

Is this right?

Well, 8% of 40oz is 3.2oz of alcohol.

3.2% of 12oz is 0.384oz of alcohol.

So you would need 8.333.. cans. Yes, you are right. ;)

40 x .08 = 3.2 oz of alchohol.
12 x .032 = .384 oz of alchohol

3.2 / .384 = 8.333... 12 oz 3.2% beers

You would also be consuming over two times the amount of liquid with the "crappy Utah beer" and would therefore have to piss a lot sooner... I'd go with two 40's if I were you...

Gotta love Malt Liquor. Ill take 2-3 Colt45's or King Cobras over beer any day. It also cost a fraction of the price.
