Is my Athlon X2 6400+ performing correctly?

Well according to SiSoftware Sandra I'm underperforming their reference 6400+ by about 8%. I've also noticed that the power load on my 6400+ only really maxes at around 92-95W, where as it's a 125W max CPU. Is it not getting enough power or is it just that Sandra doesn't push it enough to reach it's peak?

The rails on my Antec EarthWatts 500W PSU seems ok...

Vcore = 1.4V
+12v = 11.96v
+5v = 4.86v
+3.3v = 3.28v

All within the 5% range and all are rock solid, no dips or anything.

Just curious because I just bought this system and was wondering if this was normal. Thanks

If your system is slower by a tad, then investigate changing your memory timings, try to tighten them up a bit. That will likely give you a boost.

Should be alright, memory timings and speed play a larger part in AMD then they do in a Intel configuration.

Ok cool, apparently everythings ok then. :)

I bought (4GB) of some cheap Wintec AMPX DDR2 memory for it which only runs at 5-5-5-18 with my ASUS M3A (even tho the manufacturer says it goes 5-5-5-15). Oh well, I can live with 8%, more than easily made up in games with OCing the video card.
