Is my Antec True Control 550 outdated?

It is time to upgrade from my AGP X850XT video card. I want to upgrade my rig to a all SATA, Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L/8800 GT combo. Are the mobo connectors different on this new generation of mobos? (I currently am running a e4300/P4M800Pro) Will I need to replace my PSU or do they make adaptors to change my molex connectors to the required PCIe six pin that I need for the 8800 GT? I plan on attempting to OC my my 4300 as well. I know my Antec was as good as I could get back in the day, can I get another few years out of it or is it time to pass it down to the kids box. As you can tell by my component selection, price is a factor here. Thanks in advance.

I would suggest replacing it anyway since being an older truepower line it most likely has the bad caps in it that could give you trouble later on (not all did, but most).

But yeah, the newer PSUs have a 24 pin ATX plug instead of the 20pin one, some have an 8 pin instead of 4 pin CPU power (kind of a hit-n-miss on which mobos use that though, many are still 4pin), and there are the PCIe 6 pin plugs for the graphics cards, plus more than just a couple SATA plugs. I'd say it is time to upgrade :)

What is your budget? If you poke around you can sometimes find the Corsair VX450, VX550, or HX520 or even HX620 PSUs on sale or with MIR (or both) for cheap. Other good PSUs are Etasis, or the Silverstone PSUs, or the newer Antec Earthwatts line (I think there was a 500W Earthwatts for like $50 after rebate recently which is a steal).

Thanks Sparky,
I have been looking at the Corsair HX520s, I like the idea of the modular plugs so I can keep the inside of the box neat. My budget is about $200/mo, I was hoping to save up enough to buy myself a Christmas upgrade, but I may have to wait until after the holidays if I include a new power supply.
