So, I have a PNY 7900GT that I got this summer... board is Asus P5W DH, C2D E6600, etc.

Here's the full story:
Video card seemed to be running fine for the first month or so... Then I got real busy with school and didn't play games, but did keep updating drivers. I go and try a couple of games... and it's BSODs galore. (This was with 93.71) I figure that the drivers are the problem, and upgrade to some beta drivers found on a corner of NVIDIA's site. Problem 'fixed'.

Subsequently, I discover after other BSODs outside games that my RAM was bad. So, 2 new gigs, and I'm back in business... or so I thought. There were still various glitches (e.g. vertical/horizontal lines) in games like Sid Meier's Railroads. I blamed the beta drivers...

Now, I install Vista... and let's see
- the 100.59 driver has tons of display glitches of various kinds
- 97.46 from NVIDIA's site caused BSODs galore
- 97.46 from MS seems to work fine, with the occasional glitches today...

So I'm starting to wonder... is NVIDIA making really crap drivers? or my card screwy in some way?

I'm not sure there ARE any newer drivers for XP... in any case, it's a bit too late now.

STOP error in Vista was... 0x00000124 (0x00000000, 0x8615c418, 0xb2000000, 0x00000175)
(The 0x00000124 is constant, the other numbers have changed...)
