ok... Battle Field 2142 today started giving me "lost connection" errors even though my internet seemed fine.

I at some point restarted my computer.
Upon restarting the video came up all jumbled, random colors and symbols, the computer booted, windows booted fine, and I could somewhat see the windows Desktop through the operating system.

I Restarted... same thing. I turned it off, unplugged all power, took out the video card.. looked at the capcitors, seemed fine. Put it back in. plugged everything back in, Turned it on. Heard a faint PoP.
NO VIDEO AT ALL. The video card fan turns.

Its gone isnt it?
Sigh.

well I bought it from a friend a few months ago. Not sure what brand. it doesnt say on it... It has the symbol of a square split in two by some kind of a bird. the two splits are dark blue and light blue color.

It couldnt be my motherboard could it?

that happened to me one time and i freaked out. it turned out that it got too hot because one or two of my case fans died or something, but after it cooled down its been fine ever since.

Could you please take a picture of the logo???... if your video card has a product # too, it'd be pretty helpful in identifying it.

Ok, i figured out is an Albatron.
Here are some numbers from the back 0063005313002
600-10317-0002 100
bios 5.70.02.13.01

Try it on another system, just to be sure... Your board could have died. It's possible, and preferable actually, considering boards are a lot cheaper than 7800gt's 🙂

Also, try a different video card on your system as well.

ok thank you.

I've actually figured out that I removed the warranty sticker today, because it was hanging loose. The card should have still been under warranty... I've emailed albatron, explaining what happened and why I removed the sticker,

Hopefully they will honor the warranty. Their warranty policy on their website states that it is void if the sticker is removed.

I wish they wrote that on the actual sticker!!

Still got the sticker? Get some glue!

yeah, I got the sticker but it is a a little ripped. I think they would be able to tell...

Furthermore I've been trying to contact albatron for the past 3 days. I've sent an e-mail, and called every day at different times of the day... I cannot get through it is like they do not have anyone working the phones.

idk anyone had experience with this brand?
