Is my 6800 broken?

I just upgraded from a t-bird 1.2 GHz system to a better AMD athlon 64 3200+ system (pls don't laugh, I don't have much money). 3200+ venice o/c at 2.4GHz, Asus A8N5x, 2X512 Kingston dual channel Memory, and an EVGA 6800 GS video card o/c at 500/1100

I ran 3dmark06 yesterday and I was stunned. It only scored 2711. In many tests, it only got less than 10 frame per second. Totally unwatchable.

Is there something wrong with my videocard?

It's perfectly normal. 3DMark isn't meant to gauge real world performance of current generation games, but rather for 1-2 generations ahead.

You may be surprised because it is performing so much worse than 3Dmark05 on the same card. You probably recognize many of the scenes because they are so similar, but 06 uses revamped HDR lighting for some near photorealistic scenes (and makes everything else run slow as molasses).
