Is my 2.53GHz Intel CPU model 326?

I inherited a box running Linux that has a socket 775 2.53GHz Intel CPU with 256K of cache. The only Intel CPU that seems to match those numbers is their model 326 but according to arkIntel, that CPU does not support Hyperthreading where both my bios and the system softwre information page says it does. Which is correct? Is there another CPU I don't know about with these specs which DOES support Hyperthreading?

Sounds like a Celeron D. I've never seen a Celeron with hyper-threading. Have you loaded Linux to see if hyper-threading is actually working?

Thanks, the output indicates the ht flag but the processor line shows only 1 processor and the sibling line also shows 1. I'm still confused. I think I remember reading an HT processor should show 2 on the sibling line and an ht in the flag list.

Yes, I thought so too but why is there this Hyperthreading info disparity?
