Is my 12v rail too high at 12.864?

Yeah...let say I have some cheapo PSU that I regert buying. Now I realized with the 1004 bios I could push up the processor more so I tried that...all would seem stable but then i'd get a crash instantly and everything would immediately restart. My CPU is adjust at 1.7vcore tho in asus probe it shows up at ~1.75, and the ram is at 2.6v (lowest the a7n8x will go) I looked at my rails via AsusProbe and I got:

12v: 12.8-12.94
5v: 4.8-4.82
3.3v: 3.264-3.28

Does this maen I really need a new PSU? I guess I can stand being at a 166mhz FSB instead of in the 170s and lose the extra Mhz but I'm starting to worry its slowing killing off my system

yeah, that 12v line doesn't look too good...that's 7% off spec.

y go cheapie on a power supply. u can buy the best stuff in the world but if u power it up with a bad power supply, bad things are bound to ensue. spend the extra money on a good power supply that will last u several computers

1.7vcore seems high for a 300mhz OC u sure u need that bump?

12.8 is within spec of 10% tolerance so it's fine, might cause problems depends what they are.

Run the standard stuff(memtest86, Prime) and see what u get.

Asus boards automatically increase vcore for some reason, there always a few mhz over fsb what u set it to.

Does the problem go away when u un-OC?

Dood, pump the RAM voltage upto 3.5v. I bet that's the reason you're unstable.

Can you say in your best Jim Carrey (aka The Mask), "Smooookkinnn" 😀

Your memory would be fine all the way to 2.8v without worries, 2.9v and above you start to run some risk, but 3.5v is probably a bit too much.....😕😉

UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM . . . YEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHH . . . putting the bong down . . . . 2.6v seems fine for the RAM. Mine is at 2.58, DDR333.
