Is Mushkin Memory direct sales defunct?

I've bought RAM from Mushkin in Colorado several times. Things have always worked out fine. I always confirm by phone that I've picked the correct RAM to meet my needs. We've all marveled at the cool inflatable packaging that they used to ship it in.

I had a custom built PC in 1997 that crashed often. I reinstalled Windows more than 12 times and removed all the cards to identify the problem. I finally had a tech visit and he couldn't find any problems but told me it might be the RAM. I replaced the PNY RAM and Bingo! All worked great.

So I was looking around to contact Mushkin and ended up at www.oempcworld.com through a Google search. I can't find a phone number for Mushkin Memory direct sales anywhere.

Did Mushkin direct sales go belly up or sell out to someone else?

Seems they've moved entirely to selling through resellers, like Newegg. And realistically, that makes sense because it'll drop their costs a lot. Instead of having to man an online store, phones, etc., they only wholesale now, like most of the memory manufacturers do.

Mushkin was bought by a company from Austin called Avant a few years ago. not surprising to see them wind down everything but the name
