since it's pc3500 rated at 2,2,2 versus corsair's pc3200 rated at 2,2,2...i would say yes, it's better.

depends what u use it for. ie most AMD system wont require anything faster than pc3200 even when ocing, but pc3500 is good for intel systems when ocing

Yes its better.

If you plan on using it in a P4 rig, take a look at the Geil Ultra Platinum PC4000 1gb Kit, its only $300 and does DDR550:).

yes it should be

i have both

the mushkin 3500 has winbond bh5 chips while the corsair 3200 has ch5
the bh5 is supposed to be better

the mushkin black level II is designed to run on low timings and is basically the best ddr memory out there for low timings
i can run my two 512mb sticks of 3500 at 230 2-2-2-6
havn't had a chance to try my corsair mem yet but i doubt it can do that

That's awesome stuff. What kind of vdimm are you giving it? Are these settings memtest and prime95 stable?

I have the mushkin 3500 as well, but like a retard, I bought an Intel D875PBZ mobo for my system. I bought this mobo because I didn't want to overclock, but I didn't realize that this mobo had no options to increase RAM voltage.

Without increasing RAM voltage, I am only able to get my RAM to run stable at 2-3-2-6 or 2-3-3-6, and that's only with CPC Override disabled in the BIOS.

I believe this Mushkin RAM is known to achieve 2-2-2-6 (guaranteed) timings most commonly on the AMD-geared nForce mobos. But for Intel chipsets, the actual rated timing is 2-3-2-6.

usually i use between 2.65 and 2.88 my cpu/motherboard aren't stable with anything over 200 but i'm sure this mem would be stable at 230 2-2-2-6 with like 2.8 vdimm
i've seen this memory reviewed and i think they got atleast 230 with those timings
but yeah i've gotten it to boot several times at 230 with like 2.88v (not stable due to other components)
i found that changing timings on this mem has no effects on it's overclockability

i'll have a chance to really test it out on monday when i get my sp-94 heatsink and throw the mem in my P4 system
i'll keep you updated

I would say that the Mushkin L2 3500 is probably the best memory out there right now. If you want tight timings (you do), it is the memory to get. Newegg has 1 Gig Package for $289 which is pretty darn good.

nope, the only one I used before is the voodoo 3 2000 AGP,
and that was on a P3 system

tempted to use the voodoo 5 5500, but since I got a radeon 9700pro...
i guess I'll stick to ATI :)

yeah i got a voodoo 5 and a voodoo 3
they were pretty good cards but i found it hard to get the card/drivers to run any new stuff anymore so i had to go nvidia/ati

but i'll prob always keep the cards around
i might throw the voodoo5 in an athlon system for my girlfriend to play infiltration and silent hill on

Lucky dawg... your girl likes to play games with you.

I got my girl to play Counter-Strike with me for about 1 month one time, but then she just stopped playing all of a sudden... cold turkey and all. I was so crushed!

But I married her anyway ;-)

lol

Just like the Corsair LLs. No matter how relaxed you set the timings in the bios, it doesn't help you clock your cpu or fsb higher. Thanks for the info!
